If a manufacturer issues notification for recall work, can it be done at any time? Or will it only apply when the current owner gets the recall letter?

It can be done at anytime and at no cost to the owner. However, it is advisable to have the recall completed as soon as possible - especially if there is a safety concern.

Give your local dealer a call and ask what recalls are outstanding on your car then arrange a time to have the work done.
