Just reading the paper online and the Indo has the "50 Best Cameras"

Strangely in the top 50 cameras:

    #10 & #50 are printers
    #20 is an EyeFi Card
    #30 is a Gorillapod
    ??? Whats that all about???

No mention (or else I missed it) of the Canon G9-12 series or S95?

meh. It's a fluff piece, designed to make you feel inadequate about the crap you've already bought, so that you'll buy more crap.

Convinced me to buy a mini-tripod (like a gorillapod). Not bought just yet, but it's now on my list.

The EyeFi card has been on my list of wants for a while now, but I can't really justify it. To get the most out of it, I'd need an iPad instead of relying on my iPhone to run the app, but that's a further several hundred euro I could put to something far more useful.

eye-fi cards are pretty pointless unless you are shooting in a studio environment (with Wi-fi) or have linked into a decent open wireless connection.

EDIT: I mean in this country ... wifi is fairly pathetic and non existant in many places - compared to other countries.

The new cards create their own ad-hoc connection, but even the previous ones can be used in conjunction with a MiFi or Hotshot without much trouble while away from regular wifi access.
I know some people using this method for instant proofing on location shoots with an iPad, where they'd usually be tethered in a studio. Seems to work well for them, with the only complaint being limited image viewer choices (ie marking a selection of images).

Someone posted in here earlier in the week about a gorillapod that's on lidl. Only 7 quid and gave a good review of it. Picked one up there on thur, so might still get some

Think that was me, here it is in action if you're interested.

Not quite as good as a gorillapod I'd imagine (yet to try one myself though) but it claims to hold 1.5 kilos and I've put about 1kg on it without a problem.
