external harddrive problem!

    Hey !

    I have an iomega 1tb external usb harddrive, i mainly use for backing up my movies/music etc...

    basically I want to share it with my friends but it has since stopped being PC compatible, it used to be though (i didnt erase anything or like wipe it) it just decided to not pop up on window pc's anymore??



    any advice people could give me?

    I don't think that sharing your (presumably) only backup is a good idea. Buy another drive, format it suitably for your friend's OS of choice, then copy the files onto it.

    (Can't answer your q. because you haven't told us what format you used.)

    Try Paragon NFTS

    Perhaps more info on problem...I assume you are using a Mac as this is the Mac Forum

    It installs on you mac and allows you to write to NFTS disks mounted on you mac

    That is if you are having problems writing to a NFTS disk on your Mac
