Any chance of sharing that set out? I'd love to hear it again.

This is the track i'm looking for an I'D for. Amoeba Assassin is finishing and then it starts.

uploading it to soundcloud, or any other file sharing site with a player would be better rather than having to download a wav sample thats 40MB in size mate.

EDIT: have you tried upping it here http://tuneid.com/ for ID?

have to say i always found him to be a way over-rated dj, even by 92 he was banging out the hits-i stuck him on at a weekender i ran and the local jocks blew him off the stage

    Cool story bro...

Don't recognise the tune but I like the sound if it, I'd say it's something by Tilt if pushed to guess?

completely agree. at the time I was getting properly into dance music he was championing the most inane crap trance, purely because he thought / knew it would sell. he's still banging it out to that market mind - he just played that big festival in vegas.

pity, he was back there in the day and really should know better.

Heard Tonie Walsh had a huge strop there and took over the decks preventing other DJs from playing?

Not quite-we had the run of the whole building, including the "exclusive" Pink Elephant, the Pink's manager wasn't into the sounds tony was playing and wanted to put on the usual chart DJ instead, naturally Tony wasn't into it

There were 2 floors right (another in the basement which was not involved)? Walsh had a fit and kicked a few DJs off the decks (who were advertised on the posters) and he took over playing his jazz-house lite grooves? Also heard the security were taking the passes off the DJs and selling to the punters?

The basement was involved-can't remember the security doing that though it wouldn't surprise me!

Did the place have another name also?

I remeber two blokes from around my way that used to go in there when we were buzzing in the ASYLUM or SIDES, now i may be miles out with the timeline on that one as i never actually went into it, just remember it was the times when the E's were great & the speed was strong & plentiful, what year exactly was it & didnt have another name also?

They did tell me at the time that this place was amazing & you dont know what your missing out on, never gave it a seconds consideration at the time, lo & behold one of dublins finest was the organiser, must have been a good one that slipped by me it appears:(

    More like 3 years-though the weekender was a one-off

1992 to 1995, devout ASYLUM & SIDES goer that time (well mid to late 92 before the ASYLUM was priority No 1), so my memorys still intact as i thought it was around that time alright.

I only played twice in the Zoo bar and vaguely remember it was a long narrow club with the bar counter in the middle so the main dancefloor was small and the DJ box was in the corner. There was a seating area above on a mezzanine level and then another floor above that? It didn't have a 'proper' clubbing crowd, more of a chart music place with a mixed age group?
