European Junior Swimming Championships 2011

    I think it's only right that there is a thread dedicated to the discussion of the National Team competing over in Belgrade.

    Medal tally after day 2: 2 Golds.

    Sycerika McMahon - 50m Breastroke - 32.00 - Irish Senior Record

    - 400m Freestyle - 4:13.85 - Irish Junior Record

    Also she was 8th in the 200m fly final (was just after the final of the 400) and qualified 5th for the 400m I.M final(pulled out to focus on 50m Breast)

    Other swims of note: Nicholas Quinn, 13th in semi-final of boys 200m Breast
    Boys 4x100m Free Relay - 3:35.69, new Irish Junior Record

    Everybody either setting P.B's or right bang close to their best ever times. Really encouraging start to the Summer Internationals.
