Retrofitting an extra coil on a HW cylinder

I have a gas boiler and am putting in a Stanley stove with a boiler too.

I've had two quotes so far - one plumber has told me he can put a second coil on the HW cylinder, while the other plumber says this is not possible and is quoting €850 for a new cylinder.

Is it possible to put a second coil on it and is it worth the saving or should I pay the extra money to get a new dual coil cylinder?

    Thanks..

It is possible to put one in and I only knew of one fella that done it and he is dead now. It very hard to do but you must have a good man there if he is able to do it.

Can you use the existing heat exchanger with both thermal sources? If the pressure on both flow pipes ( gas boiler + stanley stove/boiler) matches it should be possible.

Thanks everyone for the replies - whats the consensus so?

Should I pay the extra money for a new cylinder or will the extra coil work fine?

I would change the cylinder, consider a triple coil as you may want to install solar in the future.

I would go for a new cylinder:) I bought a twin coil 36 inch by 18inch copper green insulated cylinder for around 190 euro. Its cheap so may not last yonks. I bought the twin coil if we ever wanted to add an oil boiler as we just use solid fuel heating.
