    Hi

In work years ago we archived books onto c.d.'s. Now i need to get a cover of one of the titles but when i put it in my mac the c.d. won't read it just shows up install cd access reader. Now the problem it wont install on 10.6. Anyone know any way of getting it to work? we have no old computers in work so kinda stuck here.

    Any help would be great.

    Thanks

Slight confusion here because what you are describing didn't make sense. You are clearly accessing the CD because you can view the files. The problem appears to be the format the files are in. I suspect you may be trying to open them with either an newer incompatible version of Photoshop/Illustrator or the wrong application altogether. The above indicates you need a reader for these files. The application on the CD is probably for OS 9. If you can open one of the files in Textedit and look for text at the beginning, you might get a hint of what reader will work. Your sure these files were Photoshop/Illustrator?

    Sorry for the confusion

When i put the cd into a mac with OSX 9 i can see the files.
When i put the cd into a newer with OSX 10 mac i get this

CD-R Access only works up to OS 9. You are going to have to copy the files to a format recognised by an application that runs in OS X. This software predates DVDs so is now unnecessary.
