Hi guys, thinking if getting a new laptop.

My current one is a toshiba I bought in early 2006. So it's served me well but is battered enough and fairly slow at this stage. Takes nearly 10 mins after turning on just to be ready to browse web

I use mainly for just web browsing. Also use iTunes and small amount of Microsoft word.

Would need wireless to connect to eircom in the house

Trying to keep to a tight enough budget of around €400 or so

    Any thoughts or recommendations welcome

Saw the following in pc world, wondering is it any good

For slightly cheaper if your willing to buy online you will get better specs.

Both I'd say. The screen actually won't stay up anymore, the 2 hinges are broken so I have to stand it against something to use it

€800!!! I hate to say this but you were done, even then!
It really is mental how things have changed. I supposed we'll all be saying the same when we all have petabyte drives in the future but still. Holy god.

I know, that was the going rate back then. Bit like mobile phones back 10 years or so
