Thailand - only two weeks

    Planning a two week trip with my girlfriend to Thailand in August. So far we have decided to spend three days in Bangkok, fly to Koh Samui and spend two days there, ferry to Koh Pangan for three days and catch a half moon party. Then its back to Koh Samui and another flight to Phuket. Here's where we need help.
    We dont know whether to base ourselves in Phuket and take trips to the islands like phi phi etc or go for the quieter option of Krabi. We have 4/5 days on this side of Thailand and any recommendation on where to stay or what to do would be great.

    Base yourself in Phuket and take trips from there I would suggest,between Karon beach and Patong there is lovely accomodation and decent prices I think its cliff resort.
    Krabi is not that great in all fairness, I have been several times and it always bores me a bit,Phuket is a great spot and you will not be kept busy with great night life.
