Hi i'm sitting Prof 2 S&L for the first time in August exams. I have the BPP text books, past exams papers and have been searching for more info on the internet.

Does anyone have any good links to sites or advice for extra books, etc

It is such a boring subject

If that's a boring topic CPA must be doing it wrong or... you've a good future as an excellent bookkeeper ahead of you! :p

haha i love accounting but more the practical side of it like preparing accounts and tax. I find the marketing/management parts not so interesting but it has to be done so I'll trudge through it :)

I sat this in April 2010. Hardly prepared at all and the only way I passed (I got 52) was because the case study was very similar to one from the BPP book (which is excellent). I was able to copy a lot of that. I think I only got 18/50 for the 2nd section so it was the case study, and BPP, that got me past that one

I'm thinking it must be an advantage sitting it in august since its the same business sector and therefore the april exam solution should give some good condensed notes for Q1. I find the business analysis hard to write about as I'm not great at theory.

I'm working through the BPP book at the moment so fingers crossed. Doing advanced tax and repeating ACR as well so its gonna be a busy 2 months of study study study but really want to be finished with the exams this year.
