    I have a question for you guys which has probably been asked 100 times here.

    Due to recession & not wanting to take out a loan I'm looking for an economical car 1.9dsl or less for about 2.5 - 3k, but also need a family car with a decent sized boot.

    I know in this are your looking at

    -> Mondeo 2.0TDCi

    -> Vectra 2.0DTi

    -> Focus 1.8TDCi

    -> Volvo s40 1.9TDCi

    -> Mitz Lancer 1.9TDCi

    -> Opel Astra Estate 1.7DTi

    Of those if ye have any experience which would ye recommend or is there another car ye could suggest & maybe is moving to 4.5K for a great car a better idea for the sake of a 1.5k loan.

    Dunno if you'll do better price wise for that milage. Would be a contender. Best car from that list for sure.

    Volvo S40 boot is very small, in fact the whole car is a bit cramped if you're looking for a family-sized car. V40/V50 would be a better option if you need a bit of space.
