Weight distribution

I know I'm like a plague with the questions I be asking but sure its better I ask than I assume and I do value peoples opinions.

I recently switched over to a ICS M4 A1 S.I.R. and used it for the first time last sunday along with my m203.

Now atm I'm trying to get the sling attachment for the base of the retractable stock to give me a better clip for a sling.

Now in regards to the sling I'm thinking for the weight of the gun with the m203 attached I would be better to use a 3 point sling or attach my current 2 point sling to the back of my vest to anchor the sling to distribute the weight and not have my neck snap off from the weight of the gun.

I'm just wondering if people have any other ideas on how to distribute the weight better and save my back or is it a case of 3 point of attaching a two point to my vest and having the vest anchor the sling.

Its not going to be THAT heavy.... it should be fine with a 3 pointer.

if you dont want it flopping as much, tie a loop of para cord or string around the top loop on the stock, or around the stock entirely a few times, and clip it at the top so it hangs down, not upside down... a 3 pointer is fine :P

Why does everyone think m4s are heavy?

Lol I don't think the gun on its own is heavy, was more the weight distribution was centered to one point that was causing pain for myself and with the back sling point being at the bottom of the stock rather than the top its troublesome when using either a one point or two point sling.

I think the sling point I'm getting will sort that bit and allow me to better wear a sling for the gun.

So far I've no problems with my M4, fires far and true and is like a gem. Although the only thing I had to watch from my change from MP5 to M4 is that I had to watch when walking through a doorframe if my gun is pointed up for any reason. The gun being 4 inches longer *oh the innuendos right there* almost had me smacking the door frame with it and I already have fun watching my own head on some doorframes. *I'm going to stop here cuz the innuendos floating in my head are getting worse*

Like I said, para cord, stock, loop it though the many holes, problem solved.

You think real soldiers buy a new fancy bracket for all problems?

Nope but then paracord solves all, just like duct tape.
