Thoughts on DAC for an iMac

Does anyone here use a DAC with their Mac?

I've a 2010 iMac with a set of Audioengine A2 speakers. I am considering getting a DAC player for it? Is it worth it? Will it make much of a difference?

I don't produce music, I only listen to it!

All computers have a Digital to Audio Convertor built in - otherwise you wouldn't hear any audio from them.

Would it make much of a difference sound quality wise if I bought an external one such as the cambridge dacmagic?
