    I feel like suchh a noob asking this question :o but i have only ever really smoke camel cigarettes (expensive :eek:) and want to home roll instead because it's cheaper.. I have been living in France for a few years and now I'm back so I'm pretty unfamiliar with how to purchase skins/tobacco/filters.. how much are they and do they sell them in just regular newsagents? Help? Thanks! :pac:

    :D Read the title and thought "cheeky answer a must" but i've read your post so I wont lol ,Im a hand roller myself (2 years now) since I found giving up too hard and continuing with smokes too expensive!

    I get 2 days from a pouch of 12.5gms

    Tobacco (Cutters Choice) = €4.38 for 12.5gms
    Skins = 55cent
    Filter tips (Extra Slim Rizla brand) = €1 for 120 (and they come in a nice neat pack in strips of 6

    Every newsagents,garage,Spar,Centra,Dunnes etc etc should have them, alternatives been 'Swan' brand filter tips but personally I find them packed very tightly so you end up pinching the tips to get them out and it can leave the cigarette loose at the tip end after a few draws.

    avoid the gimmicky rolling machines, theyre rubbish!

    Hope this helps.

    I smoke drum tobacco 4.20 for 12.5 grams and you get a pack of skins with it, the filters as the above poster recommended. I'd usually find I get between 20 and 25 fags from 12.5 g. If you have any friends going to Spain or anywhere its much cheaper to have them bring you home some tobacco ( I got 50g for 7 euro)

    To start rolling, a few of my friends smoked previously so I had seen then rolling before. I looked at a couple of internet videos and then tried it, first few ones were ****e but then once you get the hang of the 'tuck', rolling cigarettes get a lot faster and easier.

    How I roll: get skins and filter hold filter in mouth, put your tobacco in skin. Begin by rolling the paper, not the tobacco so its a nice even distribution throughout the cigarette, then depending on if your right or left handed place the filter in the right or left side. Keep your thumb on the filter and use your other thumb to try get the tuck. Lick the paper and stick and smoke away.

    Sorry if that doesnt make sense just off a night shift :D
    Its easier than you think once you get the hang of it

    Yeah,there's also the box of golden virginia you can get with skins included but the skin is a thicker paper than i like, i use Rizla greens (actually a handy starter paper for rolling - the cut off corners.

    I use the very same method for rolling,ya get the knack quickly enough,soon you'll be draping your opended pouch between two fingers,tip in mouth,skin just over the pouch,free hand digging the bacco out and almost half rolling one handed ready to lick n stick in seconds!....then you'll be rolling confidentally stood outside in the wind!

    Can anyone else ever roll one handed? I used to on occasions, mostly while fishing and I got to be quite proficient at it. They were never going to be the neatest smokes in the world they they did the job.

    Have done it in the past, but as it takes longer and does a sheer bo||ox of a job, I don't anymore.

    But for sheer Kudos, holding a pint in one hand, skinning up with the other. Hard to beat. :)
