    hi

i would love to set up my own company and work for myself. the problem is of course what service could i provide. i was thinking, and this is just me thinking outloud, that the area i could provide a service would be in engineering design and analysis i.e. CAD and FEA, possibly some CFD.

what would other peoples idea of the market for such a service?

i did an interview with a company in NZ that specialized in this area http://www.motovated.co.nz/index.html

NZ would be similar to Ireland so it is possible to set up something like this (they've been going for well over 10 years now). they're not a huge company but still employ maybe 10 people. i would just be looking to employ one, me!

my background would be cert in mech eng, degree in aero eng, and in a few months a masters in CAE. i've approx 5 years exp in mech/project eng and an interest in CAD, FEA, and CFD.

    all opinions are greatly welcomed
