    Chauffe, Marcel, chauffe!

Here's the whole climb filmed from the cockpit:

I'm no regular viewer of these kinda clips, but I do remember Ari Vatanen doing Pikes Peak in a Peugeot 405. Back then there was no road or any safety barriers, just a dirt track

Watched both videos in full last week after the record was beaten. A large amount of time can be said to have been made up from there being more paved sections on the climb now, but either way, the last 3 minutes or so are terrifying!

I do think Ari Vatnanen's run is the more...unbelievable though. Majestic.

With 910 horsies under your bonnet you can have any colour wheels you damn well like!

I don't care what colour they are as long as they don't embarrass me!

So if you had a Veyron blue wheels would be ok!?!?

So your opinion has now changed on the colour of the wheels?

I've made my opinion on the Veyron clear many times, I'd never drive one...but if I had to, then no...blue wheels wouldn't bother me.

Ninja editing is fine when you come up with something better to say.

So... if you had a Veyron, you'd have blue wheels without any bother?

From next year on the course will be entirely tarmac, Pikes Peak will never be the same again...

Drove up Pikes peak a few years ago in a rental(the ranger post half way up where they measured your brake temps was a bit surreal), all I can say is that anyone who can drive it like that is a Grade A, Bona Fide hero in my eyes, as for the blue wheels, if he can drive like that he has earned the right to paint the car to look like Barney the Dinosaur if he so wanted.
