Best low end android phone?

I currently have an archos 5 internet tablet (5" screen android based tablet), basic samsung candybar phone (which i am otherwise perfectly happy with) and a seperate small 8gig mp3 player as the archos doesnt really work as a music player all that well.
I am getting tired of carrying around all these devices with me so id like to sell them and buy one thing that can carry out all the functions.

still, most of these are pretty old so my budget isint that great, probably about €150.

    i am looking for:
    -android based phone
-funtions well as an mp3 player, has a 3.5mm jack, micro sd slot

-has a nice decent size, high res screen, decent keyboard, wifi, and a nice web browser (web browsing and android apps are all i use my archos for, so its useless without wifi without a cell phone to tether to, id like to remove the middle man and have the new phone completely replace it)

-looks good, weight/size not all that important as it will only be weighing down one pocket as opposed to two so will feel compartively light anyway.

camera is not that important as i rarely use the one on my current phone anyway
other functionallity, including gps not important.

So, what price am i looking at? or even better anyone got a phone recommendation?

Got one for my brother a while back. Probably still the best phone in that price bracket.

truthfully I wouldn't buy the ZTE blade until the ZTE Skate come out, depending on it's price point it maybe a better option.

not really a huge upgrade as it will not support adobe flash. processor is 800 vs 600 on the blade but wouldn't be hugely excited about that....

hmm.. no keypad? i suppose i had to lose something, but the lack of physical buttons was what made my archos not work as a music player.. does sony ericson have nothing to offer?
regardless, thanks for showing me this phone, i would never have known about it otherwise. can you get it over here though?

Whatever you do, don't buy the Samsung Spica! Its the worst phone I've ever bought. The touch keypad can be unresponsive and locks halfway through a task, it deletes all your voicemail messages after only listening to one and saving and drafting sms is strangely set up. As regards getting a phone thats not available here, try ebay shops for a new unlocked one, they've good prices, just check out the seller's customer reviews before committing and use paypal. Good luck with your search.

also is the nokia n97 any good? theres lots of them on adverts for about 80 and it looks very good. however its not android.. does the symbian os have any kind of app store?

N97 was popular when it first came out. Android works better than symbian OS in my opinion. Id try buy new. The n97 is a few years old at this stage.

The Skate has launched in France at €200. It think we can expect another exodus up north to grab these. Much improved camera.

What network are you with and what's your current monthly spend? It may be that you can afford to buy a higher spec phone than you think.
(edit: and more importantly are you pre pay or bill?)

Cheapest might be Vodafone 858 Smart Black for €60. I bought it and really no complaints regarding first time smart phone buy.
