Sweaty Armpits

    Hi,
I seem to sweat a lot from my armpits. No matter what antiperspirant I use, I usually have sweat marks by 12 o clock in the day which gradually gets worse through out the day. I work in an office with a lot of people and it looks terrible.

I'm not fat but not fit at the same time.

    Any suggestions are appreciated.

    Thanks

Go to the chemist and see what they recommend. I used to have the same trouble as you and it's very embarrassing ... I found all the deoderants like michillin (i think) useless. I can't actually remember the name of the stuff I got but I used to have to put it on at night on clean armpits and clean it off again in the morning. Repeat for 2 or 3 nights initally then once a week. It used to sting like hell but it worked !

That sounds like Driclor made by Abbotts. I seen it being discussed in fashion and appearance before. It is meant to be good OP.

That's the one ... I found it great - stingy but effective

Give Driclor a try, just whatever you do, don't shave your underarms while you use it and don't scratch or touch the area after it's applied. It stings/itches like mad but gets slightly better with use.

Try solid stick deodorants, Mitchum do one as do Dove. The Mitchum one was the only one that ever worked for me, and regular Mitchum in a spray or a roll on did nothing.

Try wearing more breathable fabrics like cotton in dark colours so if you get sweaty it doesn't stand out too much.

Keep a cold glass or bottle of water by your desk and always sip it to keep yourself cool. I do this if I know I have to walk somewhere and I'll end up hot and sweaty by the end of it. The cold water keeps me cool and the sweating isn't so bad.

Last of all try to increase your fitness. I used to get so worried over sweating it was cathartic to go out for a run and not worry about how sweaty I was going to get because everyone gets sweaty exercising. I don't have so much of a problem with underarm sweating now at all.

When ever i'm wearing a shirt, or close where sweat would be easily visable (I sweat a lot also) I wear these underneath my tops

Works pretty well! Can pick them up fairly cheap too in the likes of Pennys or Dunnes.

    Driclor is the biz

Also, some people react to polyester which is what's in cheap shirts
Might be an idea to get some good cotton shirts, TK Maxx sells them cheap

If your office is like mine you'll have women moaning about the cold and wanting the heating on???
    You can't win these arguments
Get a cheap fan, only 15 euro or so in any electrical shop or Argos and it'll do you for years

I use Sure Maximum strength - you put it on at night, and you can shower the next morning and don't need to apply deodorant, it's the shizz.

Another option if you have VERY excessive sweating is botox injections in your armpits - it paralyses the sweat glands and stops you sweating, lasts for about six months I believe. Might be worth looking into if the extra strong deodorants don't work.

Hey OP Driclor is the best all the posters are right about it stinging etc but it's worth it. In between uses I use sure maximum strength which is also very good. It comes as a cream in a stick format. This doesn't sting but wouldn't be as good as Driclor. As another poster said, if these don't work maybe invest in the botox injections. Good luck :)

Try Etiaxil, it really works and last for weeks.

I found the mitchem dry stick marked all of my clothes white, and is really hard to get off. Defo would not use again. I like the roll on but it's no cure either. My sister used Driclor and she had a really bad reaction to it!!! Have also heard it's good though. Let us know what u try.
