Hi am looking into getting Mobile broadband to play online as i cant afford to get a fixed line into the house. I was just wondering what would be the best to get from all the providers like 3, vodafone, meteor and others.
Also what usage would be best to get to play online with PS3 and surf the net.

My house has coverage for all the moblie devices.

    Thanks

Hey man, I'd recommend the Meteor to go Hotspot. I think it is around €35 to buy, but if you are already Meteor you can get a discount like I did. Then it is just €20 a month for 20GB of allowance which is more than enough. It can alos connect to a laptop and is able to support up to 5 devices at once. 02 have a similar hotspot I think, so would be the same. Hope this helps and happy gaming!!

    AVOID mobile broadband for gaming.
Its not sutible for gaming at all (high lag, low caps, etc...)

not sure if this might help you but just got imagine wimax into my house cos none of the mobile providers were getting a decent signal into my house. i heard some good about it and some bad but decided to risk it. so far i have to say its been excellent for gaming. got it in 3 weeks ago and all going well. that is 35 euro a month for 7mb broadband. opinions differ wildly on this service but i am only putting my own personal experience forward.

I'd have to both agree and disagree with you there. I had 3 and had awful problems, then i tried O2 on trial and have never looked back. It works perfect for me. It's a matter of trying to get your hands on one for a day or two and testing it out.

Mate of mine uses the 02 stick for xbox live and has little/no problems which I found very suprising. It might not be 100% reliable but it does work.

No comparsion between mobile broadband and a fixed line though
