    if i remember correctly, the last time there was one of these Trinity was like 50th and UCD was closer to 100th. still pretty impressive considering our budget for education and the size of the world.

    If the position of each university on that page is indicative of rank, then Queens is 65th, TCD is 70th, UCC is 78th and UCD is 79th.

    For the purpose of comparison, New Zealand, which has a similar population to Ireland, has two universities in the top 20.

    Irish universities rate rather poorly, considering Ireland is a first world English-speaking country.
