I'm currently in the process of setting up a part time mobile car servicing business to supplement my current income. It will be more so as a hobby for myself whiles't also getting a little bit of income.
Will I have to register the business and how do I go about this?
What are the costs involved in registering the business or could I operate away without registering and what would be the consequence if any if found out?
I have all the equipment all ready and the experience!

You could register as a sole trader just to be on the safe side.

    Check out www.cro.ie

or give them a call and they will be able to help you out.

I would be very wary of trying to avoid being caught as there are some sly people out there who may pick up the phone and report you for earnings on the side!

It is no harm to investigate all avenues and keep your ass covered.

I hope it works out for you. :)
