    On a Felt Z100

Need a new front wheel, where would be a good place to buy a similar looking cheapish good quality (:pac:) wheel in dublin or on the net? I can imagine them being cheaper on the net than in a shop.

Chain reaction seems to be the cheapest of the online stores for a single wheel (compared to ribble or wiggle) it's not exactly the same wheel but I'd imagine it is close enough:

I'm not sure what the going rate is in shops these days, but Thinkbike in rathmines are usually pretty good

um think it was 50-60 we were quoted in town...for a wheel with black spokes which would look silly:p

thanks, I'll have a look at the site :)

That's a MTB wheel, it won't fit a road bike.

Keep an eye out on the cycling adverts for a second hand front wheel, might find a decent bargain.

first of all no do not buy a 26'' wheel it just wont fit.700c or 28'' is what you need.next thing bring it to a bike shop or someone you no that cant true up wheels you would be surprised at the state of some wobbly wheels that can be fixed

Cycle super store had mavic aksiums going for a snip recently, might be worth checking them out, decent wheelset at a reasonable price.

Hi never got around to getting a new wheel for this and the old one is pretty bad, and am looking at chain reaction.

Would either of these do the job? would they even fit :p

    down from 90£ to 45£

    or

    or any other suggestions?

Thanks, thinking of going with the Mavic Aksium unless somebody says they are dire! or has a better wheel in mind. Seem good value for 55E delivered?

Askiums are a grand wheel - you really can't go wrong!

Yea, go for the Askiums, I had those Alex rims on my Felt bike when i bought it, pure crap.

Most people seem to hate those alex r500's but they seem really nice to me.

    Ordered the aksium wheel thanks!

They look grand but caused me no end of trouble, loads of spokes broke and freehub wore out very quickly. Bought the askiums, great wheels at at good price. Very reliable.
