    Hi Everyone,

A day or 2 ago I picked up my mobile and while browsing I noticed H+ connection!

So I connected my mobile to my laptop and downloaded a file with download accelerator which used multiple threads to download, I don't use speedtest.net any more because it's NOT accurate!

SO at 7am yesterday morning I got 12Mbs, WOW I said to myself, could Three actually now be an alternative to dsl?

    NOOOOOOO!!!!!

While they seem to have increased the speed by a massive amount in the south Kildare area, they still don't seem to get the fact they need to increase the amount of bandwith available, that's the major mistake of all wireless providers!

Speeds during the day range from 0.5 Mbs-3.5. But usually it's <3mb.

While this is still a major improvement to the 0.2Mbs of just last year, they still as well as most wireless providers have a long way to go!

The speed is there just the bandwith availability at peak times is not and so I can't get rid of my dsl yet! Maybe someday!

While I realise it could be 10 years + before I see >6mb on dsl here, wireless does have serious potential in Ireland it's just a shame most wireless providers including wimax is crap!

I would not consider 1-6 Mbs as broadband any more and find it shocking to pay 48 Euros PM for such low speeds!
