So I am thinking along the lines of Vichy or La Roche Posay...

anybody have anything to say about these? I have cominbination skin but it gets very oily during the day in the office and seems to be very dry after a shower :(

    Any advice appreciated.

I am not familiar with La Roche Posay but used to use Vichy all the time. Over the years, I have changed to Clarins, Clinique etc but at Easter was given a Vichy Gift set. I noticed the difference in my skin immediately, and it has made me wonder why I ever left it in the first place. I am going to continue with Vichy again for the next couple of years...

Clinique burned my skin, literally. It was so uncomfortable :)

Which rang of Vichy are you using?

I use La Roche Posay. I alternate with different moisturisers from their comprehensive range depending on my skin and the season etc. The products are paraben free and my skin loves that. They are mid price so not a fortune to lay out for a quality product.

I use La Roche Posay too and find it far better than clinique and dermalogica. They have so many different ranges though so it's hard to choose the best one to use.
Most pharmacies that carry the the brand will be happy to give you samples and that's probably the best way to find the range that suits you best.
I have oily skin by the way but I'm sure you would find one that suits combination skin
