Anyone have advice for avoiding them when swimming without a wetsuit?
I will be swimming while away in a couple of weeks and am thinking of maybe wearing a long sleave rash vest and maybe knee length jammers to try and avoid as much as possible.

    Any other tips or solutions?

Either wear a full wetsuit or swim always with goggles on and your head in the water and when you see them swim around them.

True story: Friend* of mine got stung on the mickey while frollicking with his girlfriend in the sea while on holidays at night. Had a knob the size of an elephants by the time we got him to A&E. Was told to refrain from coitous for a few weeks but was back in the saddle so to speak the following night.

    *Definitely not me

If you are away in ireland somewhere, I wouldn't worry too much. If you're going abroad, just google what jellyfish are there and what precautions to take and treatments to have with you. Vinigar/hot water/etc
