    Hi,

    has anyone had this issue.

UPC were out at our estate yesterday when i popped back from lunch. When i got home after work later all of our services where disconnected, tv broadband phone, everything.

Now all our bills are up to date, always have been, but it turns out they disconnected by mistake when connecting up a new installation in the street. I was told that the best they could do is have someone out to me Monday between 1-6pm to reconnect.

This is a joke, is there anything i can do about this. I told the lady on the phone ( a manager i might add) that the broadband was required to check work email (just work email, 99.9% of the usage is home usage). She said that wasnt her concern and i should have gotten a business line instead!! nice customer services. she then proceeded to try sell me a land line, even though i already have one with them, she kept getting back to selling me a landline, she brought it up 4 times on the call.

UPC are a joke, and the management company wont let me get a dish, which sucks as i cant even get the shared dish. I live in a duplex, just 2 houses, i need 5 houses for shared dish.

Anyway enough of my rant, is there anyone you know of i can call to try get my service back before next monday

I wouldn't hold out too much hope they'll even be out on Monday. Used worked on the phones for um and constantly had people giving out about technicians not turning up.

Same old chorus service under a new name.

You should demand they refund you for the days you received no service starting from when you first reported the issue. It may not be much money but there is a principle and the hassle of arranging refunds will serve as motivation to get their act together!

If it's just a matter of reconnection then the UPC techie won't need to enter the house. He'll just have to plug the cable back into the tap (junction box) outside your house.

    PM sent.

she just emailed me back, the CEO PA is very helpful. as it turns out, apparently there was a piracy issue on our street or something, i assume one of the neighbours was stealing tv or something and they disconnected the wrong house!!!

They did this to my apartment too. On a bank holiday weekend, asked the engineer and confirmed it looked like a wrong disconnection. Next time I will not be so patient, had to wait 6 days. Got refund but terrible service.
