iPad Jailbreak Apps/Tweaks

This thread is for people to recommend their favourite and the most useful tweaks and apps available for jailbroken iPads.

With the iPad 2 jailbreak now available, there is a lot of new jailbroken iPad users (including myself) and it would be handy to have a place to find the community's favourite tweaks.

I love XMBC which is available from Cydia. It let's you watch streams that arent usually available on the ipad. All the content on RTE player,TV3 player and TG4 player are available with xmbc on the ipad if you install the addon vod.ie .The stream is excellent quality and doesn't buffer at all. Another add on worth getting are [EDIT]. It has a good range of recent films and tv series. There is a little fiddling when installing add ons but all the info needed is online.

Another good one is 3G Unrestrictor which allows you get around the Apple restriction of not being able to download anything over 20mbs on 3G. That can limit the podcasts and apps you can download using 3G . Also some apps will not work using 3G ...this app let's you get around that with most of these apps.

There's no real compelling reason to jailbreak these days IMO. The iPlayer would be nice but you can watch all the Irish TV channels live by signing up to magnet TV without jailbreaking and you can download and watch [EDIT] too with the Buzz app.
The only reason I'd consider jailbreaking now is that on the O2 plan I'm on (unlimited data downloads) I can't tether using the personal hotspot, but I can if I use mywi on a jailbroken phone. Bizarre O2 rules. However, I don't need to tether that often so I wouldn't bother with it.

Can you get that Ice videos add on like you can for the apple tv? had a quick browse for it and couldnt find it!

I'm probably being a complete idiot here and not able to see it infront of me!

wait I just remembered when I did all this for my apple TV, we will probably have to download the add on and install them that way am I right?

Go here and download the vod.ie zip file using safari downloader or if you use atomic web browser u can download it in there either

Then open xmbc go to setting>addons>install from zip file

Locate the vod.ie zip file and install the add on should be available in videos then

For me the main reason for jailbreak (iPad 2) has to be Backgrounder and Activator. Backgrounder provides real multi-tasking which you can control yourself right down to each application. Activator allows you to define many different ways to access almost any function and any app from anywhere (eg: log press Home button to activate task running in Background).

Multifl0w (small charge) is also great for switching between apps which are active.

I really like 5 row keyboard for iPad (again, small charge for this).

Browser Changer (free) is also good. Allows you to change the default browser.

I use a certain application which I presume I cannot mention here to download "cracked" apps. If I like the application I download, I buy it, if I don't, I uninstall it ("You wouldn't steal a TV?" - Hmm, actually, I might!:)). Really bugs me that there are little or no "trial" versions of apps in the App Store.

Sbsettings (used with Activator) can allow you to access settings and apps from just about anywhere.

But really, Backgrounder for me is essential. You can leave apps running fully (not suspended) in the background.

Smart screen is great to install widgets on the locked screen.
Retinapad is amazing to display iphone apps on the ipad with retina resolution.
