    hello!!

right i have a bit of a problem i need help with.....

here it goes... i was supposed to be working a oxegen this weekend, but its after falling thru...now i have a ticket but i promised it to one of my friends for free because i wasnt going to need it....now the problem i have is that i now need my ticket in order to go...i have contemplating just giving them the ticket and staying at home...but since it was a present from my parents they will start asking questions about why i am at home and not there which would also disappoint them if i told them i had given the ticket away?

how do i tell my friend without damaging out friendship? Or do i give them the ticket and stay home and deal with the consequences?

    thanks for reading

Go yourself - The ticket was a present for you. The reason you had for giving it away is no longer there so why should you loose out. Your friend will be disappointed but at the end of the day, they were getting the ticket for nothing so they can't get too p!ssied with you. It's not like you're giving it to someone else- It's your ticket.
Go and enjoy yourself and maybe your friend will be able to get a ticket from somewhere else ...

listen you were very good to offer your friend the ticket for FREE in the first place given you are going to be working and you could have sold it and used the money to get yourself something in lieu.

Of course your parents will be disappointed if you didnt use it and rightly so. They bought it for you to enjoy yourself, not your friend. I think its a bit worrying you'd even have this dilemma.

Just explain to your friend that you are sorry but your work fell through and you will now have to use the ticket. tell her(?) its a shame but there is nothign you can do about it.

If she is even the slightest miffed with you, its not a friendship i'd be worried about damaging. Surely she wouldnt expect you to give her your birthday present from your parents? She really should have offered you somethign towards the ticket in the first place.

But do have this conversation with her on the phone or in person, not via text.

Agreed with the above, they're still advertising it so I can only assume it's not sold out.

Edit: Which means she can buy her own ticket.
