When you say "keys" if it's 2 then not cheap but not completely
    unrealistic.

Typically about 150 per key now because of integrated
    immobiliser/chip in key.

If you've lost the master for a Micra (if applicable) or all keys then you could well be looking at a monster bill like that.
If you lost a remote enabled key to an Amazon you will be forking out that money for a standard replacement.

Typically you can get a run of the mill key incl remote cut in a specialist shop such as Cleggs in Naas for a lot less than dealer will quote.

Your insurance should cover lost keys without effecting your NCB, I recently had to replace keys and locks and the insurance were very obliging

and only covers your NCB with that company, if you move to another company don't you have to declare the claims?

You will certainly be asked about any claims but for something like keys it may not matter. I had one claim for a break in and the theft of an expensive cd player and some tools from a truck and while they wanted to know about it (axa) they were only really bothered by crashes/thefts etc
