How to check dates of photos taken

    Hi folks , sorry if this question has been asked before , I'm just wondering if there is any way of checking the date when a photo was taken on the iPhone 4 . Thanks

    I don't think on the iphone its self, but when I import my pics into iphoto(mac) it has the date/time stamp on them, I assume its the same in windows

    Thanks for reply , it's hard to believe that apple didn't include that ability in the iPhone

    It's stored in the EXIF data, and should include the make & model of the digital camera, GPS coordinates etc. If Windows doesn't display all that info, then there are loads of free programs that do.

    They did, all digital cameras do.
    As mentioned above its the exif data, connect to your PC/Mac should show it.
    If you really need to view it on the phone, there might be an app, but I can't think why you would.

    I would like to know the time and date of the pictures on my phone. Apple iPhones must be the only ones that don't. Stupid.

    There are lots of apps to view the exif data for a photo. E.g. this one.
