Central locking key smashed

The buttons on my central locking key have been smashed and the opening switch is gone. This evening I crossed the terminals (where the solder is broken on both sides). I am wondering if it would be possible to repair the key myself, though I haven't done this kind of thing before. Would this kind of repair cost much to get done?
