Marushin M1 Garand

Hey folks.

Picked this up here on Boards last year. It's an epic wall hanger, but not the most practical for skirmishing. I love it, but it's been sitting in a box for most of the last year without getting much use. As much as I'd like to hold onto it, I just can't justify it.

It's the 8mm Marushin full wood M1 Garand. As you can see from the photos, it is in good order with some light wear on the metal parts (the photos don't do this justice - it looks like it's come off the set of Saving Private Ryan!).






There's only one mark on the rifle - as can be seen above. The mark has weathered a bit since this was taken (used the photos taken by the original seller, Horse84).

Since this was bought I have tweaked the internals slightly - these are notorious divas and need tinkering - the hammer roller has a habit of falling out - but I have fixed this so this isn't an issue (in other words you don't have to worry about the roller falling out when the bolt rides back over the hammer as it recoils).

This comes with two magazines and a leather sling, as shown.

These are sold out on most far east websites and retail new for between $450 and $550 before shipping, import and taxes.

I'm looking for €350. I'm really not that pushed to get rid of this - as much as I'd like to clear out space I'd keep this rather than sell it for buttons.

I'm not really looking for trades - with the exception of VFC AKs (any type).

I'm not willing to ship this (it's too heavy and I've had nightmare situations before where I shipped stuff to people on boards, so prefer to meet face to face so that the buyer can satisfy themselves that the goods are as described), but it can be collected or I can meet the buyer at a site (within reason - I'm based in Dublin).

I'm not willing to sell to under 18s unless the transaction is handled through a parent.

Sorry Jayo - I saw your add and I was interested in the mags, but I'm not interested in the AK (only VFC AKs I'm afraid). It's a great rifle - not the best for a skirmish (too much hassle, needs HFC134 as green gas is a bit too powerful), but a fantastic wall hanger.

It's a lovely gun man - I almost hope it doesn't sell! It's not really about the money - I just can't justify having it sitting there in the box without anyone using it - I'm sure someone else will get more use out of it...

I could let all three go for 750 (so, 100 quid off). If not I can accept your offer on the garand and can hold until the 22nd (I'm away with work next week anyway).

Sorry dude - at 750 I'm already knocking 50 each off the other two aegs and the Garand is cheap at this price.

No worries if this doesn't work for you - I'm still happy to accept your offer of asking on this (and I've had an interesting trade off on the 556 too).

Sale is pending on this folks - I'm holding this until the end of the week beginning the 18th.

If it doesn't go as arranged then I'll post back up here and it's open season again.

That said, Stigmau5 has been in contact and arrangement have been made - so unless something drastic happens I think it'll be his in just over a week.

Just curious - did you have to have this downgraded when you bought it or did it chrono ok straight out of the box?
