Looking for a new van (well 2008), and am thinking of these 2 makes because of the low private tax. I know they're both fiat engines, but overall which would be the best of the 2.
Also, if it was registered in january 2008, would it still be liable for the co2 based tax?
    Thanks.

Neither. Transit connect is by far better, but it's 1.8.

Yea, transit is good, but this is only for light use and the low tax is a big factor!

Couple of lads I know well at one place I do work have company Doblo's and they like em, and they have had all sorts given to them, combos, connects, bingo's. They do big miles heavily loaded and the Doblo's seem to stick it well, despite their "bad" rep. I like the look, plenty don't. I find the Connect very uncomfortable, but I've heard they're tough. The Combo's are said to give trouble with the small motor but I've no experience of it. I had 2 old model Combo's, 1 from new, 1 from a year old and they never gave any trouble, but they were 1.7's. What about the Bipper/Fiorino? I like the look of them and they tick the box on engine size and drive nicely?? Not sure about the oily bits though.
edit:I actually have my own eye on a Bipper if I come across a 1 year old at the right money.
