Roxboro tyres. Filthy but very reasonably priced.

Kieran of Limerick Tyre Centre Fenton's Yard in Raheen, down a bit on the opposite side of the road from Mid West Tyres. Other than that then try Paul in Victory Tyres. I've bought from both and have no complaints.

I'd be wary enough of going in there unless you knew what you were after, a freind recently was charged 70 per tyre for some stupid unknown brand crap which have since turned out of be rather slippy in the wet

I used to use victory years ago, very sound. Forgot how to find them, roxboro did me A bonkers deal on hancooks last year (€35 for 195-60-15) so I haven't needed tyres since then

Been to Hanover tyres on thr ballydimon road a few times this year and would equally recommend them as much as victory.

Em, a little more info would be helpful here, what brand did he get ? What size were they ? Did he ask for the cheapest tyres ? If they really are that unsafe in the wet why not bring them back ?
I have being buying tyres in limerick for over 20 years and it is always one of the most awkward transactions related to cars. I do all my own servicing so the awkwardness is not a problem with my knowledge of what's involved. It's more to do with how you are treated in these places.
Most places seem to have these "special" guys working there who think that they will always get paid regardless of the how they treat you.
Anyway , my advice is to go to either Champion Tyres or Limerick Tyre centre (Fenton's Yard). Both places have the owner on site and as well as being very competitive will normally do their best to get repeat business.

By the way colm mcm that was some deal you got there.
