Hi, just a quick question and i suspect the answer is probably no. But does anyone know if it is possible to replace manual wing mirrors with electric mirrors. I have a ford focus 2002 and the wife is learning to drive and i just wanted to make life a little easier.

    thanks

Hello, yes it is possible. There is a bit of wiring involved. See the attached pdf guide.

Mind the wires, they can drop down and get caught in the window. Pull them well to the inside and have them just inside the door card. The spurious mirrors seem to come with a longer than absolutely set of cables.

There are a couple of different electric mirrors. One heated and one not. Make sure you get the right one as the plugs are different as far as I recall.

You'll prob need a second pair of hands to get everthing lined up and the first screw in.

Other than that, its pretty straightforward.
