I left my iPad in a hotel on Sunday, when I returned they said it wasn't in the room, is there a way to track it's position like the iPhone? Or even wipe it remotely?

Don't think so if you hadn't already got find my iPhone/iPad set up on it already.

Did you activate MobileMe? If you did, the answer's Yes, if you didn't, then No.

I activated it on my iPhone and the iPad operates of the same account but I don't think I activated it specifically on the iPad, is that necessary?

go to me.com or get find my iphone app for your iphone and put in your username and password (your apple ID) then click on find my iphone. Your registered devices will be there.

Don't you have to have the app activated on all devices?
