Just heard on radio 1 that Kevin Ankrom will be on the sports program that starts at 6.30pm this evening. Should be interesting to hear what he has to say about Daegu and the low number of athletes that have achieved the A standard so far.

He has given himself a year to get new structures in. He talked about more professionalism, coaching, management etc and he said that mass participation from juniors up was needed to achieve success in the future.

When asked how many medals we would win in Daegu he said that getting to finals is the priority at the moment and that there are no athletes "above the curve" who would be probabilities for medals, which is fair enough.

The interviewer finished with the dissapointing "lets hope we win medals in daego/London" but Ankrom seeems very experienced and upm for it.

Didnt go into the detail of these structures though.

    Anyone know ahts planned?
