Im looking for some information and advice. Firstly i will be driving from Ireland to Mongolia in about 3 weeks time.

I am wondering what software is out there that will allow me to use mapsource maps. I will be bringing a Netbook running Windows XP, so the plan was to connect this to a GPS aerial to this and use this for my primary means of navigation once i leave europe and street level mapping.

I was hoping this would be cheaper than shelling out for a Garmin Etrek or the likes.

Any hints or tips would be greatly appreciated.
