Numpty question: Which wheels?

In three weeks time me and my giant tcr will be heading off to antwerp to do a middle distance tri on a flattish course.

The bike came with bog standard wheels, mavic cxp22s. I cant afford to upgrade these right now. I have a 28/11 shimano 105 cassette on these the moment.

On my old winter bike, I have a set of prolite como wheels, which currently have a 26/12 shimano sora cassette fitted. These have a 30mm rim and flat spokes, and Im wondering if they are a better wheel.

Which do you reckon would be the better wheels to use for the race? (Not that it will make a lot of difference, but every second counts :D)

I couldn't really say which wheels to go with but I'd fit the 105 cassette to whichever set you bring. The 28/11 gives you a higher and a lower range than the 26/12.

You might have no choice as I'm not sure your 10 speed chain will work with an 8 speed cassette (I'm assuming the sora cassette is 8 speed).

The pro lites are probably marginally better but it would hardly be noticeable.
