    Hi everyone,

Currently filling out the UP1 as I have a appointment tomorrow.
First off, I'm worried I won't qualify as although I have been finished lectures in UCC since April, my thesis is due in September. I previously obtained a letter from UCC stating I've been finished since April, but when I went to the social welfare office yesterday they gave me a separate form to get filled out by the college. Should I submit the one the college gave me, or should I submit the one given to me by SW (which states I have yet to complete my thesis) and hope for the best?

Also, on the first page it asks for your normal occupation and previous occupation. What are you supposed to put for the first?

Also, for Q.22 should I state that I am attending college still and give details or not? Technically I'm not.

Many thanks for your help in advance! :)

I just graduated myself and your best option is to go in person to your local SW office, you may have to wait a while but it's better knowing yourself. I'm in a bad situation and I am actually finished

I'm going tomorrow, as I mentioned I have an appointment. :)

But I need to have all these forms completed so I need to know what I should put down so I can have everything sorted before I go in.

Sorry must have misread that :o Just fill in everything, if your still registered in college you will have to say still attending unless you can get a letter from them stating that you are finished.

As for employment just put down where you last worked and if you have a p45 bring that with you. They are quite fussy about documents you need.

    Just saw this:
Legislation provides for disqualification while attending a full time day course of study. Third level students who have completed final examinations but are completing theses or projects cannot be regarded as still attending a full-time day course of study and, therefore, cannot be disqualified under this provision. Entitlement may, however, be considered under the availability condition, depending on the degree of commitment to the project/thesis.

So I should just submit the form that I got the college to fill out today and hope for the best.
