    Like Feels2gd said, Command + Shift + 3 is a screen shot but you might find these useful too:

    Command + Shift + 4 will give you a set of cross hairs that allows you to select a specific area to grab

    Command + Shift + 4 then press space and you can click on a window to get a screen grab of just that individual window
