    A mates Bike.
Tiagra Levers with coming up on 10,000km of use in 2 years. Would it be unusual for them to have to be replaced( recommended by LBS). At the prices he has seen its not going to be an easy decision.

Unless they are giving bother I would not change them, it would be acceptable if the right hand one a Is a little worn but it would be amazing were both to wear out together, LBS having a go I'd say

I have Tiagra on a bike I bought in 2000. I couldn't estimate the mileage and they work fine. A little sluggishness a few years ago was sorted by spraying copious amounts of WD40 through them.

    Thanks Lads
Both my own bikes have Tiagra. 1 is 4yld and I couldnt guess the milage and the good bike is 2yld and has more miles up. We thought it was worth seeing what others thought.

As said,WD40,as they tend to get a little slow/sticky with age!!

Agreed, seems like a bit of chancery.

I have 3/4 year old tiagra shifters with buckets of miles on them and they are still shifting perfectly.
