Lenovo G570, Acer Aspire 5750, RAM upgrades

I'm torn between the G570 and the 5750, both with the i3-2310m/15". The 5750 appears to be the best value RAM and disk capacity here:

    5750: 6GB RAM/500GB for £420

However from reviews (I haven't seen either in real life!) the Lenovo's keyboard sounds better. I'm thinking of getting the cheapest G570:

    G570: 2GB RAM/320GB for £357

and then upgrading the RAM (at some stage in the future):

    Crucial: 8GB e65

Does anyone know if the G570 4GB version comes with 2x2GB or 1x4GB? I can't find good specs for it anywhere.

General impressions or pros and cons of each would be appreciated too! And potential durability, given that there's a curious 1 year old here who likes to destroy.

    Budget: e400-500

    Intended use: Internet, development

Mobility: Good battery life is a requirement

    Warranty: Not important

    OS: XP/Linux at the moment

Other: Future-proofing important. HD capacity not all that important.

I've just bought the Acer Aspire 5750 (i7/8GB/750GB version) and am very impressed with it, build quality is very nice and I'm a big fan of the keyboard. Only downside I've found so far are the speakers are shíte.

Future proofing would be getting the best processor IMO, HDD & Ram are easily upgradable. Maybe look at the i5 versions?

Also USB 3 is a nice touch on the Acer.

Cheers for the info there. Looking at processor specs, there doesn't seem to be a huge difference between the i3-2310m and the i5-2410m, then quite a jump to the i7-2630qm. Maybe I've read them wrong though.

The i5 is a bit above my budget as well - is it really worth an extra £85 on top of the £365 for a 5750, or £110 on top of £357 for the G570?

There's not much separating the g570 and the 5750 really. USB 3 maybe a good advantage to the 5750.
