I changed jobs 3 months back and I’ve been on emergency tax since I started even though I gave in my P45 straight away and rang the tax office several times. Anyway first month I only worked 2 weeks so got a third of my monthly salary, second month I was down roughly 200 more than usual but this third month my wages were tax at 41%?
Boss said don’t worry you’ll get it all back in your next paycheck. Will I not get that lump sum refund taxed to bits like say a bonus or overtime?

    Simple answer is NO

As it has being subject to tax you will not be "hit" with tax

You should notice your tax to be very small or even a negative
