    How many years would it take to be a fully qualified clinical psychologist, including degree, pHD, masters etc.?

    Hard to say tbh as everyone's route is different. The academic side alone would take:

    - 3 or 4 year undergrad (or 2 year HDip if you already have a degree)
    - 1 or 2 year Masters (not strictly necessary for some courses, though others like UL insist on a masters - if you had a lot of experience and very good undergrad results you might get accepted without one. However, most other people applying will have one or even a PhD).
    - once you get on the DClinPsych it's a 3 year course

    So, that'd be 6 years absolute minimum if you already had a degree and somehow managed to gain enough experience before/during your time in university that you didn't need to spend a year or two (or more) working in relevant research or clinical posts. Some courses (Trinity comes to mind) insist on you having worked in a clinically relevant role for a specified period of time (min. 6 months in their case). Hope this helps!
