    Hi all,

Hubbie is submitting a claim to rights commissioner.
He was dismissed in March (through disciplinary procedure), appealed their decision with them and only got the outcome in the last week or 2 (took them 7 weeks to decide they are not overturning the original decision)

Who should he get to represent him with Rights Commissioner.
Citizens advice said not to bother going to rights commissioner as they dismissed him through the disciplinary procedure so he would never win.
Were not looking for compensation or settlement, just for them to overturn the decision (how can anyone possibly get a job after being fired!!)
We dont think the dismissal was fair he was with the company years and only started discipling him in the last year or so.

Citizens advice said a solicitor wouldnt entertain him.....is there a list of people who would be well educated in employment rights that would help out of where should we be looking?

    any advice?

    Lorr

What is it about the dismissal that you feel was unfair?

Just because he was there for years does not make it unfair. Also, the fact that they started disciplining him a year ago suggests that there were problems with his performance which in turn suggests that this may not have been an unfiair dismissal scenario.

The suggestion that you could not get a solicitor to represent you is nonsense, that's precisely what they are there for.
