Major props to the organiser of this race as they have put together one of the highest quality middle distance fields that has been seen in Ireland in a very long time:

    Brandon Bethke (4.01 miler)
    Tim Bayley (3.58 miler)
    James Kaan (3.40 1500m runner)

Among the Irish athletes who are involved also are:

    Alistair Cragg
    John Coughlan
Paul Robinson (Current Junior Mile record holder 4.00.93)
Colin Costello (Former Euro Junior 1500m champion)

Sean Connolly also in the field (4.02 miler himself)

Pity they dont have a full starting line up for this

Also no Travers which is a pity (3.42 1500m this year)

Mark English in 3.59 from what I heard from the races (was't there myself so cant confirm but could be New Junior Irish Mile record) and Sean Connolly 4.00.17 Not bad for a marathon runner

Amy Foster equalled the Northern Ireland record in her race, 11.49. Kelly Proper also had a PB in that race. Jason Smyth ran sub 21 for the first time in the 200, 20.94. Chris Russell also had a PB here, 21.11. PB for Ciara Mageean and confirmation she is back to her best. All in all a memorable night with the Mile the highlight.
