    why is it that it always comes back in some way to bite you on the ass?

    Was reading the thread about putting down an animal in pain when I remembered Mr mouse.

    Twas a couple of years ago and we had rodents sneaking into the house coming into the colder weather.With a female in the house who is petrified of the wee scuttlers,action was required.

    They were wise to the mousetraps and sealing up of all tiny crevices was having no effect so I bought some of that sticky stuff that you put on a piece of card along with some tasty chocolate to snare them.

    Grand job,so I get home from work and hear a noise from the garage.Turns out I have trapped a squeakster.Hes belly up on the sticky stuff.

    Being fond of animals I carried the little guy outside to release him in the next field.So I carefully grip him and pull him off of the card.........

    :eek::eek:

    In...the...name...of... CHRIST!!!

    Ive only ripped the skin off his back and most of the rest of his body.I dropped the critter in horror and he crawled up into the fetal position whilst emitting a screeching wail.:(

    I must have weighed up his odds of survival pretty quickly because before I knew it my foot was down on Mr mouse to save him further anguish.

    I felt awful as I was just trying to rehouse him but ended up causing him terrible pain and a size 10 squishing.

    I didnt use the sticky stuff any more after that.

    Seems to be the story of my life when I try to do a good deed,it backfires and Im left thinking...ffs...

    Anyone else have anti-good samaritan issues?
