Extractor Fans

Major extension and regutting of house-plumber and electrician staring next week so pressure is on too start placing of sockets etcv. Looking for advise on two counts:

    (1) If I have windows or skylight in a bathroom should I still get an extractor fan in-me thinks yes but my wife is questioning the reason why?

    (2) We are having an extractor fan in the utility room. I was orignally going to run it out the back. However, the builder has informed me it would be considerabaly easier to run it out the side(which I agree with as much shorter distance).

Running it out the side means it will be facing on too my neighbours back garden-close to the boundary wall but on my side. Is there anything that would stop me legally from doing this, any conditions etc as to certain height that outlet needs to be.

Reiterate the point it is on my side of boundary wall BUT will be facing out towards her back garden

Relations with our neighbour are not good we haven't moved in yet but has created a lot of hassle with respect to planning etc just wanna make sure nothing comes back to bite me in the butt!:(:(

    Advise appreciates
