    Hi all,

Im after the simplest solution to do the following..

I'd like to be able to stream music from the laptop (Apple MacBook Pro) to my Sony surround sound system, and be able to look at photos on the TV. Thats all.. no youtube access needed etc.

I have a 42" Phillips TV with 2 HDMI Inputs. Both are taken up with the UPC and Phillips Bluray player. The surround sound is a standalone unit that sits under the TV.

Is there a very simple (and cheap) solution that'll give me access to my laptop based music on the surround sound and photos on the tv?

    Thanks!

Simplest solution would be to get an apple tv2. (119 new, 99 refurb from apple)

Connects your itunes library and photos to your tv, I have two in my place and highly recommend one. Not sure if thats a cheap enough solution for you but its certainly simple.

Brilliant.. Thanks! How does it connect to the TV? I've 2 HD inputs on the TV and both are filled from the UPC box and the bluray. I suppose I could get one of the double adaptors and put it on the second HD slot on the tv.

Yeh it connects via HDMI. I'm sure if you look around there are other connects/adapters you could use but maybe a double adapter is a good idea.

Ah cool. Yeah the TV only has 2 HDMI inputs so I'll have to split one of them. I'll never be using the bluray and the media player at the same time so that sounds like a plan.

    Thanks!
